Toronto Timeslice
A timeslice is created when a photograph is taken in the same composition several times over a period of time. The goal of a timeslice is to highlight the change in a scene, whether that's over the course of a few hours or seasons.
This timeslice of Toronto was take over the course of three hours. It's a simple process, set up the tripod, configure the camera settings, and automatically have the camera take photos over set intervals. To do this, I just did it as if I were doing a timelapse, this way I'd get a timelapse out of the effort and an abundance of photos to choose from. There is no specific time interval between the photos used for a timeslice, often the most dramatic changes in light occur over a short period midway between daylight to blue hour. The photos chosen are then loaded into photoshop as seperate layers, aligned, and cut into the slices.
